This coffee is from a group of farms that are situated amongst the volcanic Apaneca Ilamatepec mountain range. This western region of El Salvador is where many Cup of Excellence winning farms are based. Farms here strictly hand-pick coffee during peak ripeness which is much more labour intensive than strip harvesting. the farms in this group wash process all their coffee together at a mill which has been going for over 100 years.
